ALGERIA AND LIBYA DISCUSSIONS TO STABILIZE SITUATION
ALGERIA, — Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal held talks on Monday with head of the presidential council of Libya’s Government of National Accord Fayiz Al-Saraj on the efforts to stabilize Libya.
Sellah reaffirmed Algeria’s firm support to Libya and its national sovereignty, as well as the efforts to resolve the political disputes in Libya through dialogue and national reconciliation.
The meeting was attended by Algerian Minister of Maghreb and African Affairs and the Arab League Abdelkader Messahel, according to a statement by Sellah’s office.
Al-Saraj is on a two-day visit to Algeria as part of lobbying for Libya neighbors’ meeting, due in Niger later this month.
