ALGERIA, BRITAIN SHARE ALMOST SAME APPROACH ON ROLE OF LIBYAN PRESIDENTIAL COUNCIL
ALGIERS, — Algeria and Britain share “almost the same approach” on the role which should be played by the Libyan Presidential Council, says Algerian Minister of Maghreb, African Union (AU) and Arab League Affairs Abdelkader Messahel.

Underlining the need to strengthen the presidential to enable it to effectively plays its role, he added: “Everyone shares some responsibility in this.
“We (Akgeria) are members of the African Union, the Arab League and a neighbouring country (of Libya) and we can assist this government. The United Kingdom is a member of the European Union and the United Nations Security Council, so, it has also a role to play in assisting the new government. This situation is a cause for concern and we are working together to bridge views.”
The Messahel said the situation in the Sahel was at the centre of the discussions with the British delegation, especially on issues relating to terrorism, organized crime and the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
