ALGERIA F.A. NAMES SERVIAN MILOVAN RAJEVAC AS NEW NATIONAL TEAM COACH
ALGIERS, — Serbian Milovan Rajevac has become the new coach of the Algerian national football team, Football Federation (FAF) has announced on its website.
Rajevac succeeds Frenchman Christian Gourcuff, who left amicably in April after the Desert Foxes’ second-leg match against Ethiopia in an African Cup of Nations (CAN2017) qualifier.
Rajevac, 62, will have as his main mission to make sure Algeria reaches at least the semifinals of CAN 2017 and qualifies for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, according to a statement posted by the FAF on its website.
Rajevac had previously coached the national teams of Ghana and Qatar.
