ALGIERS, — Algerian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Mohamed El-Ghazi has emphasised the importance of creating more micro-businesses to market handicrafts being produced in the country.

Speaking during an inspection visit to the National Agency for Youth Employment Support (ANSEJ) here Sunday, gave instructed the agency’s officials to develop craft industry projects, emphasizing the importance of supporting the creation of micro-businesses for the marketing of handicrafts.

A mechanism would be established shortly in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Craft Industry to meet this goal, as part of the promotion of complementarity among economic sectors, he added.

The minister urged ANSEJ executives to encourage productive sectors to create more projects, mainly in agriculture, fishing, industry and engineering, to get involved in the national development efforts.
