ALGIERS, — Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has disclosed that the the Algerian-Tunisian High Joint Committee will hold its next meeting in Tunis late February, 2017.

“A report on co-operation between the two countries will be followed, in late February 2017, by the Algeria-Tunisia High Joint Committee meeting in Tunis,” Sellal says.

He was speaking to the media here Sunday after an audience granted by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to visiting Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.

The meeting “emphasized the implementation of President Bouteflika’s guidelines in the best interests of the two countries”, Sellal said , adding that Chahed’s visit to Algeria, his first foreign trip, showed the “firmness” of bilateral relations.

Sellal added that the two sides agreed to make efforts to further boost relations in the economic field and to raise trade between the two countries to an economic cooperation between businessmen as part of projects benefiting both countries.
