ALGERIAN ARMY KILL SIX TERRORIST IN BOUIRA, OPERATION CONTINUING
ALGIERS, -- Six terrorists were killed and weapons were recovered by a detachment of the Algerian People's National Army on Saturday morning as part of a combing operation, which is still continuing, near the forest of Errich in the commune of Ain Turk in Bouira, about 120 kilometres east of Algiers, says the Ministry of National Defence.
"As part of the fight against terrorism and during the combing operations conducted by Army forces near the forest of Errich, in the commune of Ain Turk, in the province of Bouira under the 1st Military Region, an Army detachment killed six terrorists, on the morning of May 21, 2016, and recovered four Kalashnikov sub-machine guns, an RPK machine gun, a SIMONOV semi-automatic gun and a quantity of ammunition," said a Ministry statement here Saturday.
"Since the coperation's launch on 17 May, eight criminals were eliminated and another was captured during in this operation, which is still going on.
"Other Army detachments discovered and destroyed three shelters for terrorists and a home-made bomb in Batna and Jijel (in the 5th Military Region) and Ain Defla (1st Military Region)," said the defence ministry.
