RIYADH, — Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, during his visit to Saudi Arabia earlier this week, held discussions with Saudi intelligence chief Khaled al-Hamidan.

Also present at the meeting which took place on Wednesday was Algerian Minister of Maghreb, African Union and Arab League Affairs Abdelkader Messahel.

The two sides considered ways to step up bilateral ties and co-operation in the security and military field.

Sellal also held talks with Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Jadaan. The meeting was also attended by Algerian Minister of Industry and Mines Abdeslem Bouchouareb and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Abdeslem Chelghoum.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation, mainly in the finance and banking field.
