ALGIERS, — Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal received here Tuesday the visiting Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

The meeting was an opportunity “to asses bilateral co-operation and prospects to strengthen Algerian-Cuban co-operation in all areas”. added the statemen.

During the meeting, Sellal called for the rapid implementation of the agreements signed in Algiers at the end of the 20th session of Algerian-Cuban Joint Co-operation Committee held this week.

The Cuban minister handed over to the Prime Minister a letter from Cuban President Raoul Castro to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the statement said.

The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.

Also present was Algerian Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf.
