ALGIERS, — Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal received here Wednesday the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, who is on a working visit to Algeria.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said they reviewed the state of co-operation relations which bind Algeria and its European partner in all fields.

“The consolidation of co-operation fields, chiefly those related to the reformed European policy was examined, through the financing of the support of the application of the national economy progress actions,” the statement added.

Evoking the progress of these relations, Sellal said he was faithful about the promising prospects on the conditions of the implementation of the Association Agreement in 2002 and that the two parties work to consolidate by taking account of their mutual interests.

The meeting also enabled the two officials to broach the regional and international questions of common interest, notably security.
