ALGERIAN PM REITERATES GOVT’S COMMITMENT TO DIALOGUE WITH ALL PARTIES

ALGIERS,– Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has reiterated the government’s willingness to consult and dialogue “with all parties” on issues of national interest.

In a speech delivered at a tripartite meeting here Sunday, Sellal reiterated the willingness of the government to consult and dialogue with all parties on issues of national interest as part of its firm respect for laws and rules, and added that any Algerian could contribute to nation-building.

“Any Algerian has the right to participate in the edification of this country. However, requesting one’s role and place requires respect for others’ rights to play their roles,” he stressed. “This is the focal point of the message of national reconciliation approved by our sovereign people.”

The Prime Minister stated that social justice represented “a daily struggle” for the nation.
“In the context of equality in the eyes of the law, balance between our territories, equality of opportunities and equality in the implementation of laws and rules, the State must constantly work for justice in all fields and among all fringes of society,” he added.

In this regard, Sellal stated that the country “is sovereign in its political and economic decisions”.

“Although it witnesses some economic difficulties, the Algerian State will never renege on its commitments towards those who have just started their professional life or those who deservingly retired after long years of hard work,” he stressed.

He regretted that “some parties bet on a fast faltering of Algeria” while others “abandoned the ship so as they won’t be accountable for any wrecking”.

Sellal stressed that the country “is stable and led by Mujaheed and President Abdelaziz Bouteflika whom you elected, a president who is backed by the country’s institutions”.
