ALGERIAN PRESIDENT HOLDS TALKS WITH VISITING SERBIAN COUNTERPART
ALGIERS, — Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has held talks here with his visiting Serbian counterpart, President Tomislav Nikolic, who is on a three-day State visit to Algeria.
The discussions Tuesday were attended by Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) Abdelkader Bensalah, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, Minister of State and Principal Private Secretary at the Presidency Ahmed Ouyahia, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Ramtane Lamamra and Minister of Transport Boudjemaa Talai.
The visit, the first ever by a Serbian president to Algeria, was an opportunity for the two Heads of State to exchange views on international and regional issues of common interest.
It also allowed the two sides to examine ways to broaden and strengthen co-operation and to develop partnerships between the two countries.
