INDUSTRY AND MINES MINISTER REPRESENTING ALGERIA AT WEF AFRICA MEETING IN KIGALI
ALGIERS, — The Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdessalam Bouchouareb, is representing Algeria at the 26th World Economic Forum on Africa beginning Wednesday in Kigali, Rwanda, a Ministry statement says.
The three-day meeting, being held under the theme “Connecting Africa’s Resources through Digital Transformation”, brings together more than 1,500 participants, including regional and global political leaders, economic leaders and personalities and representatives of civil society and the arts.
The statement added that Bouchouareb would be participating in several sessions, including those relating to the development of Africa, stimulating competitiveness and inclusive growth in the continent.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the minister will hold talks with top political figures and meet economic decision-makers interested in investing in Algeria’ industrial sector.
Several months ago, the World Economic Forum expressed readiness to assist Algeria in its reforms, particularly in improving the competitiveness of domestic industry as well as promoting the image of Algeria through events organized by the WEF at its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
