MOROCCAN AMBSSADOR SUMMONED BY AKGERIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY OVER ACCUSATION REGARDINGS SYRIANS

ALGIERS, — Morocco’s ambassador to Algeria was summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sunday to receive a note expressing Algeria’s “categorical rejection” of the Moroccan authorities’ serious accusations blaming it for Syrian nationals’ attempt to illegally enter Morocco through its common border with Algeria.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement here: “Following the serious accusations made by Moroccan authorities blaming Algeria for an alleged attempt by Syrian nationals to illegally enter Moroccan territories from the Algerian border, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco has been received today, 23 April 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Ministry officials said Algeria voiced its “categorical rejection of the false allegations”, showing (the Moroccan ambassador) that the completely groundless accusations are only intended to harm Algeria” and to blame Algeria for practices that “are alien to its ethics and the well-established tradition of hospitality”.
