NIGER SEEKS TO DRAW ON ALGERIA’S EXPERIENCE IN SECURITY SECTOR

ALGIERS, — Niger seeks to draw on Algeria’s experience in the field of security, says its Prime Minister, Brigi Rafinia, who is on a visit to the country.

Stressing that his visit was part of the process of “sharing current concerns” with Algerian officials, he told the media here Wednesday: “We have come to Algiers to share with Algerian officials the major current concerns, particularly the security issue.

“Algeria is a country that has a long experience in security issues and we are here to draw on this experience.”

Rafinia expressed willingness to strengthen the ties of friendship, brotherhood and co-operation between the two peoples, and that “this is another aim of this visit”.

Accompanied by a large delegation, Rafini arrived earlier Wednesday for two-day working visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
