ALGIERS, –Niger’s Prime Minister, Brigi Rafini, is making a two-day working visit to Algeria Tuesday and Wednesday at the invitation of Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, the Premier’s office said in a statement.

The visit will be an opportunity for the two sides to “assess bilateral co-operation and define the ways and means to deepen it,” the statement said.

The trip to Algeria is part the two countries’ actions to “strengthen the friendship, fraternity and neighbourly relations between them”.

A series of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU) on higher education, vocational training and justice will be signed, the statement added.

It will also be an “opportunity to examine regional and sub-regional issues of common interest, especially security challenges facing the two countries”.

Niger’s Prime Minister will be accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, the statement concluded.
