SAUDI ARABIAN AIRLINES TO RESUME SCHEDULED FLIGHTS TO ALGIERS

ALGIERS, -- Saudi Arabian Airlines, whose services from and to Algeria were limited to charter flights ferrying Algerian pilgrims to the kingdom over the past few years, has resumed regular scheduled Saudi Arabia and Algeria.

The first of the airline's four weekly flights from Jeddah to Algiers landed at Houari Boumediene International Airport here at dawn Monday.

In resuming its regular flights, the Saudi carrier says it wants to facilitate travel by businessmen and economic operators of the two countries to contribute towards promoting bilateral economic co-operation.

Two air services are planned in this regard by the Saudi airline. The first links Jeddah to Algiers with two flights a week, and the second connects Medina to Algiers also with two flights a week.

Saudi Arabian Airlines will also continue with its charter flights for Algerian pilgrims going on the haj.
