138,000 HOUSING UNITS DELIVERED IN ALGERIA OVER PAST THREE MONTHS, SAYS MINISTER TEMMAR

TIPASA, Algeria, A total of 138,000 housing units, have been delivered nationwide, over the past three months, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Abdelwahid Temmar said, in Tipasa, 70 km west of Algiers.

“This operation will continue until the end of current year,” said Temmar, adding that, “32,000 housing units will be delivered during the current month (Aug).”

“All housing applicants, meeting the required conditions, will have their housing unit, in accordance with the directives of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, for the sector of housing, as being one of the top priorities,” said the minister.

Temmar revealed that, 16,000 applications have been submitted by Algerian expatriates, adding that, some of them have paid the first instalment.

He also announced a series of meetings in Sept, with members of the national community, living in North America and Canada, with a view to informing them, about the conditions for access to housing in their country of origin.
