Ramallah – Together – The Palestinian Center for Research and Strategic Studies held a workshop in partnership with the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance under the title ‘Challenges facing the security institution after 7/10/2023’ in light of the threats and risks surrounding the Palestinian people on Monday, 2023. 6/3/2024 in the center’s hall in Ramallah.
The workshop was opened by Dr. Muhammad al-Masri, head of the Palestinian Center, welcoming the attendees and stressing that this war waged by Israel against all Palestinians has created major challenges for the Palestinian security establishment, leading to a threat to the future of Palestinian existence.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al-Banouj, Director General of the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance, thanked all the participants, wishing them success, and stressed the readiness of the DECAF Center to cooperate with the Palestinian Center.
An elite group of representatives of the Palestinian security establishment participated in the
workshop, and during the discussion the nature of the threats and challenges facing the Palestinian citizen were diagnosed, which hinders the work of the security establishment, in its effort to establish the rule of law and order.
Likewise, many attendees spoke about the importance of a unified Palestinian position that contributes to strengthening the role of the security establishment, in addition to addressing the strategic risks surrounding the Palestinian West Bank under the far-right government and the ambitions of the settlers. Everyone called for the necessity of a unified political position among the Palestinian factions and good preparation to face the stage. Coming.
