A few minutes after opening, the MASI.20, an index of the 20 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.02% to 973.45 pts, while the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the highest ESG rating, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained 0.03% to 903.55 pts.

The joint bid of Portugal, Spain and Morocco to host the 2030 Football World Cup is “impeccably prepared” by the three countries, said the president of the Spanish Royal Football Federation, Luis Rubiales.

“The multinational bid composed of Spain, Morocco and Portugal is very attractive and impeccably prepared,” said Rubiales in an article published Wednesday in the daily “Sport”.

“I am more convinced than ever that this candidacy will meet the challenge and will be synonymous with success,” said the head of the Spanish football authority.

He added that “one day, the work done by the various federations involved in this project will be recognized.”

Moroccan golf prodigy and member of the excellence cell of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG) Ines Laklalech has marked the history of national golf by crossing the cut at the Lotte Championship, an event of the LPGA Tour, which took place at the Hoakalei Country Club in Hawaii from April 12 to 15, 2023, and brought together 144 of the world’s best female players.

“Ines Laklalech has reached a major milestone for national golf by becoming the first golfer from Morocco and the Arab world to make the cut in an LPGA Tour event. Despite a few twists and turns, the young Casablanca woman was able to secure her qualification for the last two rounds of the tournament,” the FRMG said in a statement.

The Moroccan futsal team drew 4-4 with its French counterpart, in a friendly match held Tuesday evening at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora (suburb of Salé).

The goals of the national team were scored by Soufiane Charraoui and Soufiane El Mesrar.

This is the third preparatory game of the Atlas Lions during the mini tournament organized in Salé and which also brought together Croatia and Japan.

Nineteen people died and 2,396 were injured, including 87 seriously, in 1,730 traffic accidents that occurred in urban areas during the week of April 10 to 16, said Wednesday the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).

These accidents are, among others, due to carelessness of drivers and pedestrians, speeding, failure to respect the right of way, the safety distance, the stop sign and the red light, the change of direction without using the signal and the unauthorized change of direction, explained the DGSN in a statement.

Regarding the control and repression of traffic violations, the security services have issued 34,834 tickets and 6,425 reports to the prosecutor, while 28,409 transactional fines have been collected, said the same source.

The sums collected under these tickets have reached 5,980,075 dirhams, according to the statement, which reports the impounding of 3,767 vehicles, the seizure of 6,425 documents and the withdrawal of 199 vehicles from circulation.
