HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held today an official talks session with HE President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed HE the President and the accompanying delegation, wishing him a good stay and for bilateral relations further progress and growth in all fields.
For his part, HE the President of Turkmenistan expressed his thanks and appreciation for HH the Amir for the good welcome and reception, expressing his hope that the visit can enhance bilateral cooperation to broader horizons.
The talks session dealt with discussing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in all fields, particularly education, economy, investment, commerce, energy, sports, and social affairs, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues.
The talks were attended by HE Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of Transportation Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and HE Minister of Municipality Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qasim Al-Thani, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri.
On the Turkmen side, it was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, HE Deputy Prime Minister in charge of commerce affairs and private sector services Batyr Atdaev, HE Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs Ashyrguly Begliyev, HE Deputy Prime Minister for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, HE Attorney General Serdar Myalikgulyev, HE Minister of Education Gurbangul Atayeva, HE Minister of Finance and Economy Serdar Jorayew, HE Minister of Labor and Social Protection Muhammedseyit Silapow, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation.
HH the Amir and HE President of Turkmenistan also held a bilateral meeting where they discussed a host of subjects of joint interest.
HH the Amir held a luncheon banquet in honor of HE President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the accompanying delegation.
HE the President of Turkmenistan arrived at the Amiri Diwan earlier, where His Excellency was accorded an official reception.
