Ramallah – The aid deployed, on the Very High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the people of Gaza and the Holy City, is a humanitarian gesture that revives the hope of the Palestinian people, said Ahmed Siam, Director General of the Media and Public Relations Department (Al-Quds Circle) within the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

The Palestinian official, who recalled the air, land and sea blockade suffered by the Gaza Strip for nearly 17 years, told MAP that “Moroccan generosity has remained extensive throughout this period, which has helped to support Palestinians’ resistance.’

“The Palestinian people highly appreciate this initiative by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which is in line with the Kingdom of Morocco’s historic positions in support of the Palestinian people and their struggle to regain their independence,’ he added.

According to Siam, Morocco’s positions are “firm and constant, and His Majesty the King is keen to express them at every opportun
ity,’ stressing that the Kingdom “has always rejected any measure aimed at distorting the history and identity of the Holy City.’

He also commended Morocco’s determination, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to enshrine the centrality of the Palestinian question in the Kingdom’s international policy.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has given His Very High Instructions to deploy a humanitarian food aid operation for the Palestinian population in Gaza and the Holy City of Al Quds.
