Saudi Arabia provides monthly financial support to Palestine

Ramallah – Ma’an – The Saudi Foreign Ministry announced that the Kingdom will provide monthly financial support to the State of Palestine, with the aim of alleviating the effects of the Israeli aggression on our people.

This came during a meeting between Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Jordan, the non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Palestine, and the Consul General in Jerusalem, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairy, at the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in which he announced the delivery of the first monthly payment to the State of Palestine, amounting to ten million dollars.

Al-Sudairy stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm and supportive positions, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, for the Palestinian people and their just cause, at all levels.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry statement said: ‘Saudi Arabia reiterates the tireless efforts made
by the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in communicating with members of the international community to cease fire, protect civilians, and provide more humanitarian aid to the brotherly Palestinian people, stressing their keenness to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, which will facilitate the possibility of the brotherly Palestinian people obtaining all their legitimate rights, and establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.’

In turn, Mustafa expressed his thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi leadership, conveying the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas to the Kingdom and its leadership for their continuous political, economic and humanitarian support, especially in light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
