Several unions in the company operating the airports in the French capital, Paris, on Monday called for a strike on July 17, about ten days before the opening of the Olympic Games.

In a statement, the unions denounced the deteriorating working conditions, demanding that a bonus be granted to all employees during the period of the Olympic Games, which will be crowded, and a comprehensive employment plan that includes a 1,000 job opportunities, in addition to ensuring that vacations are granted during that period.

The unions confirmed that approximately 300 employees had held a meeting and unanimously supported the decision taken by the unions to boycott their participation in all their meetings with management, noting that their councils had given authorization to strike on July 17 until their demands were met.
