In a display of commitment to honoring exceptional Arab-American individuals and fostering connections within the community, TAKREEM AMERICA hosted prestigious events in Boston, Massachusetts in April 2024. The weekend featured the TAKminds forum at MIT and the Annual Awards Night and Gala Dinner at Westin Copley Place.
During the Awards Night, TAKREEM AMERICA recognized outstanding achievers across various fields:
– Dr. Magid Abraham received the Corporate Leadership Award.
– Ms. Najla Said was honored with the Cultural Excellence Award.
– Dr. Gary Nabhan was acknowledged for Environmental Development and Sustainability.
– Dr. Elias Zerhouni was lauded for Scientific and Technological Achievement.
– Mr. Ahmed Badr received the Young Entrepreneur Award.
Additionally, Dr. Dimitri Azar and Prof. Rima Kaddurah-Daouk were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards, while the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation received a Special Distinction.
Hosted by esteemed anchor Ghida Fakhry, the Awards Night served as a
platform to celebrate the remarkable contributions of these individuals. Ricardo Karam, Founder and Chair of the Board, emphasized the significance of their actions in inspiring compassion and unity, echoing the spirit of Khalil Gibran’s legacy.
The TAKminds Forum brought together 16 distinguished speakers and moderators from various fields, including prominent figures from the arts, entrepreneurship, and AI. Discussions provided enlightening perspectives on the contributions of Arab-American minds within their society and beyond, exploring ways to create a lasting impact and legacy.
With over 500 attendees, the TAKREEM AMERICA Annual weekend showcased the unity and positive influence of Arab-Americans in the Americas.
