TUNISIA, ALGERIA TO STRENTHEN BILATERAL COOPERATION IN BORDER AREAS

TUNIS, Tunisia and Algeria need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorist threat in the border areas, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi said.

“Developing border areas remains a priority which ensures the stability of the regions and strengthens security vigilance against terrorism,” Essebsi said during his meeting with visiting Algerian Interior Minister Noureddine Bedoui.

Bedoui said the results of this meeting were fruitful and would enhance the common interests of the two neighboring countries.
