3 Soldiers Killed in Clashes with Militants in Northwest Pakistan

Three Pakistani soldiers were killed in a military operation in northwestern Pakistan.

In a statement, the Pakistani army confirmed that its forces had killed three shooters during the exchange of fire in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The army stated that the militants tried to storm the police checkpoint in one of Deira Ismail Khan’s outskirts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The attack was tackled, and three militants were killed, the army said, adding that three soldiers were also killed during armed combat.

The Pakistani forces have been pursuing efforts to eliminate armed groups who are stationed on the mountain borders and launch attacks against security personnel and civilians alike.
