Ramallah, Five Palestinians were injured by live bullets, and others suffocated during the Israeli occupation forces storming Friday of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, the West Bank.
Local sources said that the occupation forces stormed the town and fired live bullets at citizens, wounding a woman with shrapnel in her hand, and four young men in their limbs, who were subsequently taken to the hospital. In addition, dozens of people suffocated as a result of inhaling poisonous gas. They were treated in the field.
A number of Palestinians also suffered from suffocation during confrontations with the occupation forces near Jabal Subeih in Beita town, south of Nablus.
Eyewitnesses said that the confrontations broke out after the occupation forces stormed Jabal Subeih, amidst the firing of live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and poisonous gas, causing a number of citizens suffering from suffocation.
Meanwhile, confrontations broke out with the occupation forces in the village of Umm Saf
a, north of Ramallah.
Local sources explained that the confrontations were concentrated in the center of the village, during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets, stun grenades, and poison gas towards the young men, but no injuries were reported, according to local sources .
Earlier Friday, five Palestinians were martyred and others were injured during the occupation forces storming of the city of Jenin.
Since October 7, 2023, 556 citizens, including 137 children, have been martyred in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
