Six police officers were killed and 12 others were injured in armed attacks targeting places of worship and a police post in the Russian Republic of Dagestan.
In all, six law enforcement officers have been killed and 12 others injured in Makhachkala and Derbent so far, the police spokeswoman for Dagestan said.
The emergency plan has been announced, the attackers’ identities are now being established, and all necessary decisions will be taken immediately in the interest of the safety of the residents of the region of the republic, head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei Melikov said.
