Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, briefed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Almadine Kunakovic, on the development of the situation in Palestine, which is witnessing an increasing escalation in the pace of attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinian people, and blatant violations of their land and sanctities, especially in Jerusalem, in light of the presence of an extremist government. It seeks to eliminate the negotiated solution and peace efforts.

During his meeting with his counterpart, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the General Assembly at the United Nations, in New York, Al-Maliki stressed that the only possible path to end the ongoing violence and violations against the Palestinian people is the continuation of the diplomatic and legal movement and to urge the international community to take the necessary measures for accountability and to find a just and lasting solution. As recommended in international law including the United Nations Charter.

In turn, Konakovic stressed the brotherly friendship between his country and Palestine, and his support for the two-state solution and the peace path, expressing his deep sympathy for the Palestinian people and the escalating violations they are being subjected to.

He stressed the need for concerted international efforts to find a comprehensive and radical solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and ends the prevailing state of violence.

The two parties discussed ways to advance bilateral cooperation between the two countries and strengthen and develop relations in several fields and through several proposed mechanisms such as trade, education, religious tourism, health, and others.

The two ministers extended a mutual invitation to visit the two countries, and agreed to continue communication between them to coordinate to achieve this in the near future
