Al Sadd Striker Ayoub El Kaabi to QNA: My Goal is to win Titles, We Promise Al Sadd Fans with Qatar Cup

Al Sadd SC striker Ayoub El Kaabi – who won fourth place with Morocco national team during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 – stressed that he looks forward to winning titles in his first experience here in the Gulf area, especially in Qatar after moving in March 2023 to the champion of last two editions of QNB Stars League coming from the Turkish Hatayspor club.

In his remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the 29-year-old player said that he is playing his first final with Al Sadd, knowing that Al Sadd always looks forward to winning titles and that Al Sadd players hope to manage to present their best show and crown their efforts by winning the Qatar Cup title.

The player, who moved to the Turkish Hatayspor club – where he scored 25 goals in 55 games – in August 2021 coming from the Moroccan Wydad club, pointed out that he is happy being in the Qatari fields. He stressed that he has high hopes for being with the team and feels honored to wear the Al Sadd shirt – one of the oldest clubs in the history of Qatari football.

The player, who had a professional experience in the Chinese Hebei F.C. in 2018 before returning to Wydad club, indicated that final games have only one winner and both teams seek victory. We aim to secure our first title tomorrow and then look for other tournaments ahead of us.

The player, who managed to make historical winnings with his national team during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 said that his experience with Al Sadd club during the past period was terrific and that there is excellent harmony among team members. He said that he adapted very quickly and since he joined the team he felt the distinguished atmosphere. The player added that he hopes to meet the expectations of Al Sadd fans and succeed in showing the desired level.

Regarding Al Sadd’s chances of retaining the title of QNB Stars League, Al Kaabi said that there is nothing impossible in football, and the opportunity might be challenging but still exists. There are 7 points between Al Sadd and Al Duhail SC, and we still have four matches till the end of the league, one of which will be against Al Duhail. We will grasp the hope as a team, work together, and fight till the last whistle.

In conclusion to his statements to QNA, Al Kaabi said that the team ask the fans to support them in tomorrow’s match and that they promise the fans to secure the first title for this season. (QNA)
