At Least 10 Killed, 9 Injured in Shootout at Car Racing Show in Mexico

At least ten people were killed and nine wounded on Saturday when gunmen attacked a group of rally drivers in Mexico’s Baja California.

The authorities of the municipality of Ensenada were quoted as saying that an armed attack in the San Vicente area targeted participants in a car racing show, resulting in the injury of nine people and the death of ten.

The reasons for the attack and the identities of the victims were not immediately known, and the authorities and security services opened an investigation into the incident.

At least seven people, including a child, were killed in a similar incident on April 16, when gunmen opened fire on a public swimming pool in the state of Guanajuato in central Mexico.
