Caretaker Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, on Wednesday welcomed head of the Youth and Sports Parliamentary Committee, MP Simon Abi Ramia, who said on emerging that the meeting focused on regulating Syrian labor within legal frameworks and discussing projects and programs that contribute to creating job opportunities for youth. The pair also discussed the status of the National Employment Agency.
“I have invited Minister Bayram to meet with the Youth and Sports Committee to discuss the ministry’s plan and youth engagement in the labor market,’ Abi Ramia added.
“We also discussed the work of international institutions that assist local authorities (municipalities and others) in implementing projects that include providing job opportunities for Syrian refugees at the expense of the Lebanese,’ Abi Ramia concluded.
