House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday welcomed Acting Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr. Ali Bagheri Kani, and his accompanying delegation at the second presidential residence in Ain el-Tineh. The meeting was also attended by the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani.
Discussions focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, particularly in light of Israel’s continued aggression against Gaza and Lebanon. The meeting also addressed the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Iran.
In a separate meeting, Speaker Berri welcomed the President of the State Council, Judge Fadi Elias, to discuss matters of mutual interest and judicial concerns.
