Bielefeld’s Wimmer suffers concussion, nose fracture

Arminia Bielefeld midfielder Patrick Wimmer suffered concussion, a broken nose and facial bruises in a heavy collision during a weekend game, the Bundesliga club said on Monday. Bielefeld said Wimmer will miss a week of training, with the medical team then to decide whether he can return. Their next game is November 20 against Wolfsburg. Wimmer had a heavy clash of heads with VfB Stuttgart’s Nikolas Nartey during Bielefeld’s 1-0 victory at the southern German side, and was substituted in the closing stages.
