Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens on Positive Note as MASI Edges Up 0.61%

The Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off on a positive note this Friday, with its main index, the MASI, edging up by 0.61% to 12,120.49 points.

The MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, saw a 0.64% uptick to 992.31 points, while the MASI.ESG, an index of companies boasting the best ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings per Moody’s ESG Solutions, climbed 0.77% to 901.62 points.

In the realm of the MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index gauging the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, there was a 0.40% gain, reaching 995.03 points.

On Thursday, the MASI wrapped up the session with a 0.47% dip, closing at 12,046.61 points.
