BOUJIKIAN IN MOROCCO ATTENDS ARAB SUMMIT ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP, ENGAGES WITH LEBANESE COMMUNITY

Caretaker Minister of Industry, George Boujikian, currently on an official visit to Morocco, participated in the Arab Summit on Entrepreneurship for Small and Medium Enterprises: “From Resilience to Prosperity,” organized by the ESCWA organization.


Caretaker Minister of Industry, George Boujikian, currently on an official visit to Morocco, participated in the Arab Summit on Entrepreneurship for Small and Medium Enterprises: “From Resilience to Prosperity,” organized by the ESCWA organization.

Boujikian also met with a group of Lebanese individuals in Marrakech, engaged in discussions with them, and wished them success in their endeavors and studies.

Addressing the challenges facing Lebanon, the Industry Minister acknowledged the difficult phase the country is undergoing in these critical circumstances.

However, Boujikian emphasized the resilience of the Lebanese people, and their determination to confront difficulties and challenges, highlighting the government’s efforts, led by its President and members, to alleviate and overcome these burdens by engaging with the supportive international community regarding Lebanon’s cause.

Additionally, during his visit to the summit’s accompanying exhibition, the minister praised Morocco and ESCWA for their exc
ellent organization, urging for collaboration, coordination, and the opening of markets to enhance trade and commerce among Arab countries.

Mirjana Spoljaric, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in Israel on Thursday to discuss humanitarian needs and access to people affected by the ongoing conflict, in particular those held hostage.

President Spoljaric will meet with families of hostages to listen to their concerns and to share with them the ICRC’s relentless efforts to gain access to them; ICRC personnel must be granted permission, and practical details agreed to between the parties, for visits to take place.

President Spoljaric will meet with top Israeli officials to discuss ICRC’s work to aid victims of the conflict in Israel.

On Friday, President Spoljaric will visit the West Bank.

At least 27 people were killed at dawn today in an Israeli bombing of homes in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that the occupation warplanes carried out a series of intense raids on large areas in the northern and the southern Gaza Strip, specifically on the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah in the south where at least 27 people were killed in the bombings in Rafah.

The occupation artillery also bombed the al-Daraj and al-Tuffah neighborhoods east of Gaza City, and the town of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

At least 18,600 Palestinians, mainly women and children, were killed in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip which started on October 7 and about 50,600 were wounded. A large number of people are still buried under the rubble and killed on the roads.
