Central ceremony marking August 4th commemoration begins with victims’ names being recited, amidst prayer calls and ringing church bells

The central ceremony began this evening marking the fourth anniversary of the Beirut Port explosion, after the two marches reached the “Statue of the Emigrant” facing the port area.

The names of the victims were read out and applauded, as the families of the victims recited once again the pledge to continue their movements to reach the truth and hold all those involved and those responsible for the bombing accountable.

At 6:07 p.m., the time when the blast occurred four years ago, mosque prayers were heard coinciding with ringing church bells, amid complete silence from the participants whose faces reflected sadness and sorrow as they remembered their lost loved ones, following which addresses marking the commemoration began which focused on calls to complete the port investigation to unveil the truth.
