The Supreme Follow-up Committee for the Arab masses in the 1948 territories decided, today, Sunday, to declare a state of emergency in the Palestinian community in the 1948 territories, and a general strike next Tuesday.

During its meeting today, Sunday, in the town of Kafr Qara, the committee decided to turn the funeral of the deceased in Kafr Qara, tomorrow, Monday, into a demonstration that will reach Route 65.

She called on the popular committees to prepare for this, and to work to persuade people to commit to the strike. Education is also held in schools for two hours on the day of the strike and students are taken out to local popular demonstrations.

The number of murder victims in Palestinian society in the 1948 territories from the beginning of this year until now has reached 158, including 9 women, which is a record toll compared to previous years.

The mayor of Kafr Qara, lawyer Firas Badhi, the National Committee of Heads of Arab Local Authorities, and the People’s Committee in the city called for the meeting, in the wake of the rampant murders
