Education Minister discusses with Chinese ambassador boosting educational cooperation

the Minister of Education Dr, Darem Tabbaa discussed with Chinese ambassador in Damascus, Shi Hongwei, means of enhancing educational cooperation between both countries.

Minister Tabbaa referred to the distinguished educational cooperation binding Syria and China, pointing out that the Chinese students studying at the Arabic Learning Institute for Non Arabic Speakers contributed to the establishment of four classes for the compensating the academic losses in Aleppo after the earthquake disaster, which reflects the bilateral cooperation.

Minister Tabbaa stressed the importance of exchanging experts in the field of training, particularly in vocational education, securing means of transportation for teachers, and securing renewable energy for vocational schools, pointing out that the ministry is working through the programs of B curriculum as well as empowering curriculum to compensate for the educational losses.

Hongwei affirmed China’s interest in strengthening educational relations with Syria, where the provision of scholarships for some students will be discussed, as well as the possibility of securing equipment for schools, renewable energies, and exchanging experiences in various fields.
