Freight Train Carrying Hazardous Materials Derails in US Arizona State

A freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed near the town of Topock in Mohave County in the American State of Arizona.

In statements carried out by The New York Times on Thursday, Spokeswoman for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Anita Mortensen said the train derailed near the town of Topock, close to the state’s border with California and Nevada on Wednesday evening.

Mortensen added that she was not aware if the accident has caused any spills or leaks.

In early March, another southern train derailed in the American State of Ohio, where no hazardous materials were involved, but the derailment deepened concerns about rail safety and the company’s performance.
