Google announced adding a multitude of new features that depend on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to their video calling and meeting feature ‘Google Meet’.
According to the company, Google provided Google Meet with artificial intelligence assistant (Duet AI). The assistant will participate in calls and meetings to enable users to take advantage of innovative features.
The Duet AI assistant allows users to attend meetings on their behalf if they are busy and automatically generates summary texts of points that users wish to discuss during the meeting, which are visible to all attendees to be able to discuss.
In addition, Duet AI can create summaries of meetings for later reference, can take notes, capture video snippets in real time, and then send them to all attendees after the meeting.
In the event of delays in joining the meeting, the AI could create a quick summary of what took place at the meeting before joining it.
Also, the new AI Assistant can detect foreign languages during the meeting, provide real-time interpretation. This feature has so far supported 18 languages.
