Israeli occupation forces continue assault on Jenin for sixth consecutive day

The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the sixth consecutive day on Monday.

The Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp, since last Wednesday, has resulted in the killing of 17 Palestinians, the injury and detentions of dozens, in addition to the widespread destruction of people’s property, public and private facilities, and infrastructure, including water and electricity networks.

Yesterday, Abdullah Nasser Hammou and Mohammad Mahmoud Hammou were killed after the occupation forces opened fire on them at the entrance to the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, while they were trying to distribute bread to citizens besieged on the outskirts of the city of Jenin.

Last night, Laith Marwan Shawahneh was killed and another was injured in an occupation drone strike in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin.

The occupation forces stormed the town, raided the house of the skain Palestinian Raafat Dawa and took its measurements in preparation for its dem
olition.

This morning, the occupation forces stormed the village of Deir Abu Daif, east of Jenin, and detained two young men, and another from the town of Yamoun, while the occupation forces detained the freed prisoner Yahya al-Zubaidi, the brother of the prisoner Zakaria al-Zubaidi, after storming his house in al-Jabriyat neighborhood.

Yesterday morning, the occupation forces bulldozed the post street and the area around the cinema roundabout in the center of Jenin city and a number of shops in the commercial market in the center of Jenin, in addition to bulldozing Yahya Ayyash roundabout and the Badia roundabout.

The occupation forces continue to forcibly evacuate families from their homes, as the occupation forced families living in Abdullah Azzam neighborhood in Jenin camp to leave their homes, and also evacuated families from the neighborhoods of al-Damj, al-Suha, and al-Fallujah.

In the camp square, the occupation forces detained the residents and interrogated them in the field, while the camp saw e
xtensive raids, searches, and detentions.

The occupation forces withdrew late yesterday evening from the eastern neighborhood after a five-day siege. The withdrawal revealed massive destruction to the infrastructure and streets, and major damage to citizens’ homes.

Eyewitnesses told WAFA that the occupation forces withdrew from Khalid bin al-Walid Mosque, which was used as a military barracks, after desecrating it, smashing its windows, and leaving food and drink waste in it.

The occupation soldiers maintained the siege of the city’s hospitals, preventing ambulances from transporting patients, while occupation forces attacked volunteer crews who tried to transport food and supplies to the besieged families in Jenin camp.
