Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and her Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sanchez, affirmed the commitment of their countries to continue supporting Ukraine, to work jointly to amend the European Stability Mechanism, and to address the immigration issue.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Sanchez after the Italian-Spanish intergovernmental summit, Meloni said the talks focused the war in Ukraine, reforming the European Stability Mechanism, immigrants, and bilateral relations.

For his part, the Spanish Prime Minister said the two countries were in agreement on the goals of the European Union, starting with establishing a charter on immigration and seeking asylum. (QNA)
