Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemns Israel’s continued targeting of civilians in Gaza

Amman – Ma’an – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned “Israel’s continued brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, and its systematic and continuous targeting of civilians and shelters for the displaced,” the latest of which was the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of the tents of the displaced in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, in an area that Israel had previously classified as “safe.”

The official spokesman for the ministry, Sufyan Al-Qudah, confirmed, according to Petra, the Kingdom’s absolute rejection and condemnation of Israel’s continued violation of the rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and its commission of war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in light of the absence of a firm international position that curbs Israeli aggression and forces it to respect international law and stop its aggression on Gaza, and the killing, destruction and unprecedented humanitarian disaster it produces.

The judges str
essed the need for the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza immediately, provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and hold accountable those who committed crimes against them, especially in light of the Israeli government’s persistence in its systematic violations of international law.
