Lebanon’s Health Ministry receives 11 tons of medical aid & supplies from Iraq

The Ministry of Public Health, represented by its Director General Fadi Sinan, received on Sunday medical aid and supplies from the Iraqi Ministry of Health, in the presence of the First Advisor at the Iraqi Embassy, ??Zahi Ali Al-Asadi, a delegation from the Iraqi Embassy, ??and officers from the Beirut Airport Security Service.

Two military aircraft arrived at the airport airbase this afternoon, carrying approximately 11 tons of medical supplies.

Sinan thanked the Iraqi government, its prime minister, and the embassy for their “continuous efforts and assistance to Lebanon, whether in the electricity issue or in the difficult circumstances that Lebanon is currently going through after the unprecedented Israeli attacks.”

He hailed Iraq’s role in always standing by Lebanon, noting that “Lebanon receives daily Iraqi aid and medical supplies since the attacks, as five Iraqi planes have arrived so far, carrying medical supplies and everything that hospitals need, and more are expected to arrive.”

ed out that the Ministry of Health is in contact with some friendly countries in this regard.
