Barcelona – Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, said, on Monday in Barcelona, that Morocco is increasingly consolidating its position as a “major gateway” for Spanish operators wishing to invest in Africa.

Morocco has become a growth platform for Spanish companies and a gateway to the African market, Jazouli told the press at the end of the high-level business meeting organized by the Confederation for the Promotion of National Employment, the main Catalan employers’ organization, and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES).

“A new page is being written today in our relations, and this is what we noted during this forum, through the testimonies of operators already established in Morocco, but also operators wishing to invest in Morocco and benefit from the new Investment Charter and the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the development of investments”, noted the Minister Delegate.

‘Relations b
etween Morocco and Spain are exceptional, thanks to the relations between the two Royal Families”, said Jazouli, adding that these ties have been further strengthened since April 2022, following the visit of president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco, at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI.

During this business meeting, which took place under the theme “Investing in Morocco, a competitive bet to explore new markets”, Jazouli held several working sessions with Spanish business leaders in key sectors, including the automotive industry, aeronautics, railways, renewable energies, household appliances, textiles and pharmaceuticals.
