Morocco, Prime Destination for Foreign Economic Operators (Basque Employers)

Bilbao – Morocco has developed a “clear and well-defined” sectoral strategy to promote sustained economic growth and consolidate itself as a prime destination for foreign economic operators, President of the Basque Entrepreneurial Confederation (CONFEBASK), the main employers’ organization in the Basque Country, Tamara Yague, said Tuesday in Bilbao.

”Morocco offers significant investment opportunities for Basque companies, both in traditional and emerging sectors, such as renewable energies and aeronautics,” Yague underlined at a business meeting on Morocco’s economic assets.

”Basque investors are invited to take advantage of the potential and the added value brought by the Moroccan economy, as well as sectoral development plans, which ensure sustained growth,” she said, adding that economic cooperation prospects are ”close and promise bright prospects”.

‘Morocco and the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country are driven by the desire to move forward in their exchanges to guarantee progress and p
rosperity,’ she underlined.

Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, is leading a large delegation to this high-level business meeting.

This forum brings together the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM).
