Morocco’s election to the presidency of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the year 2024 confirms the Kingdom’s “leadership” in Africa, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, and enshrines its efforts to promote human rights and the continent’s socio-economic development, said Javier Fernandez Arribas, Spanish journalist and Maghreb expert.

Highlighting Morocco’s achievements in terms of respect for human rights and socio-economic development, the Spanish expert pointed out that Morocco’s election to chair this UN body consolidates its position as an influential and respected country at regional, continental and international levels.

It will help reinforce its efforts to promote human rights and the v
