Morocco’s Game Against Liberia, Opportunity to Prepare for 2023 AFCON (Coach)

Head coach of Morocco’s national squad Walid Regragui said, here Friday, that Saturday’s game against Liberia represents an ideal opportunity to better prepare for the upcoming African Cup of Nations (2023 AFCON). “We are playing at home and we will have to find solutions and win the game against a performing Liberian squad that play in a very low block and counterattacks”, Regragui said at a press conference, highlighting the importance of finishing at the top of its Group.

During this week, the national squad has well prepared for this game, the national head coach underlined, adding that it is important to keep the winning spirit of his players.

The Moroccan squad had officially clinched its ticket to 2023 AFCON last March following the 2-2 tie between South Africa and Liberia on behalf of Group K.

The national squad had beaten South Africa (2-1) and Liberia (2-0), during the two previous days of this group which has only three squads, after the suspension of Zimbabwe by FIFA.
