Morocco’s Royal Navy Assists 57 Would-be Migrants

A Royal Navy patrol boat intercepted, on Friday off the coast of Tarfaya, a boat carrying 57 would-be migrants, including 54 Sub-Saharans and 3 Bangladeshis.

The boat was heading to the Canary Islands, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces said in a press release, adding that the rescued people received the necessary care onboard the Royal Navy patrol boat before being transported to the port of Tarfaya and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
